Public results from Reddit search · displayed locally in your browser

Three steps, zero setup.

Reddit indexes posts and comments made in public subreddits even when a user hides their profile. The extension just asks Reddit's own public search for them.

01

Install the extension

Add Profile Unhider from the Chrome Web Store. No sign-up, and it asks for nothing beyond reddit.com.

02

Visit a hidden profile

Open any Reddit profile. If it's hidden, a Reveal activity button appears on its own.

03

See the activity

Click it to browse publicly indexed posts and comments — paginate, filter, and click through to any thread.

Common questions.

Straight answers, no fine print.

Does this show private content?
No. It only surfaces what Reddit has already indexed in its public search. If Reddit's own search can find it, the extension can show it — private, deleted, or non-public content never appears.
Does my data pass through your servers?
There are no servers. The extension makes direct requests from your browser to Reddit's API and displays the results in-page. Nothing is logged, stored, or sent anywhere.
Why does a profile show little or nothing?
Only content Reddit's search index has captured can be shown. Some users have very little indexed, and very recent activity may not appear until Reddit indexes it.
When does the extension activate?
Only on profiles set to hidden — on normal public profiles it stays completely invisible and does nothing. It currently supports new Reddit (reddit.com).
Is this against Reddit's rules?
The extension uses Reddit's public search API in a read-only, non-commercial way. It doesn't scrape, store, or redistribute data — everything shown is already publicly searchable on Reddit itself.
